My Up In Arms Blouse, which I originally wrote for Sew It All TV, was published in this month’s (February/March 2016) Sew News Magazine. The fun thing about the version in the magazine is that it highlights all four different sleeve options! I think one of the great things about such a simple blouse is that changing up a single detail – like fabric choice or sleeve choice – really gives a totally different feel for each garment.
It’s always fun to get samples back, and the awesome part about this blouse is that, because it’s gathered above the bust, I can actually still wear it right now! The armscyes are a bit tight (as, with the 30 lbs I’ve gained in this pregnancy so far, I’m definitely no longer sample size) but the blouse fits over my bust and my babybump! Of course it ends up stopping mid-belly, but it looks great with my high-waist black maternity skirt, so I have an entire me-made outfit that I actually feel pretty cute in. Yay!
